Your Ghosts Are Mine: Expanded Cinemas, Amplified Voices

As the focal point in Chile for the Years of Culture Qatar–Chile 2025 program, we at Trama are proud to share the arrival of an exhibition that builds upon the cultural exchange between both nations.
Cultural exchanges can continue to take new forms, generating encounters and opening spaces for cross-cultural dialogue to grow. Such is the case with Your Ghosts Are Mine: Expanded Cinemas, Amplified Voices, an international exhibition hosted at Centro Cultural La Moneda as part of the legacy of the Years of Culture Qatar–Chile 2025 program. This cultural exchange initiative saw Trama serve as the focal point in Chile, articulating alliances between institutions, artists, and communities to bring a nationwide cultural program to life.

First presented at the 60th Venice Biennale (2024) and later at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art in Doha, the exhibition features a selection of films produced, co-produced, or supported by the Doha Film Institute, alongside video installations from the collections of Mathaf and the upcoming Art Mill Museum, both part of Qatar Museums.
Curated by Matthieu Orléan, together with Majid Al-Remaihi and Virgile Alexandre, the exhibition offers a journey through the works of 42 artists and filmmakers connected to the Arab world, Africa, and South Asia. Through cinema and the moving image, it explores themes such as memory, displacement, political transformation, resilience, desire, and belonging—inviting audiences to discover new ways of understanding the world through alternative lenses.
For Trama, the arrival of this exhibition represents the continuation of a journey that began over a year ago, reaffirming a core conviction that guides our work: cultural exchanges achieve their greatest impact when they forge lasting bonds between people, institutions, and territories.
The exhibition will be open to the public from August 5 through October 11, 2026, at Centro Cultural La Moneda (Sala Pacífico, Level -3).
